About Bagalkote District

 

The Baglkote District is carved out of the earlier Bijapur District on 15th August 1997 which is located in the northern part of Karnataka. It has 9 blocks viz. Bagalkote, Badami, Guledgudda, Hunagund, Ilkal, Mudhol, Jamakhandi, Rabakavi-Banahatti and Bilagi. Bagalkote district has 623 revenue villages and It has been divided into 2 sub division i.e. Bagalkote and Jamakhandi for the administration purpose. Sugarcane is the major crop and there are 15 sugar factories in the district. Pomegranate and Sapota are major horticulture crops. It is also famous for handloom, mining, granite industries.

 

About BDCC Bank

 

 The Bagalkote District Central Cooperative Bank Ltd., Bagalkote was bifurcated from undivided Vijayapur DCC Bank Ltd., Vijayapur and started functioning independently with effect from 01-03-2003 with founder President Shri S R Patil.The Bank is presently having net work of 44 Branches, 3 Extension Counters in the Bagalkote District and 274 PACS are affiliated to the Bank. The Bank is fully functioning on CBS platform.
